I am a photographer based in Metro Atlanta, Georgia. I shoot events, weddings, portraits, commercial and landscape photography. I own a photography studio and training center where we conduct all levels of photography classes and workshops in Fayetteville, GA.
My passion for photography began as a high school student serving as the primary photographer for the yearbook staff and shooting professional wrestling at Ted Turner's channel 17 (pre CNN). I originally majored in art with an emphasis on photography at Georgia State University. However, I changed my major due to the limited number of "photography" related classes offered at the time. I continued to shoot film photography, processing b&w film and printed my own b&w images until the mid 90s. In early 2000 I started shooting again when digital photography become affordable at the consumer level. I continued to improve my skills with digital photography and became active in several photography clubs.
I started Dana Scott Photography in 2012 and began shooting semi-professionally with a permanent studio in the basement of my home. I also began taking leadership roles in three of the photography clubs I belong to. I currently serve as the president of the Fayette Photographic Society with 231 members and The Creative Photo Den with 80+ members. I also serve as a co-organizer with the Peachtree City Photography club.
In 2016, I decided to realize my dream of opening up my own photography studio and training center called DMS Creative Solutions. We specialize in weddings, portraits, headshots, seniors/graduation, commercial, and event photography.
